Tri-Valley Mites season is almost here!

Hello parents,

I hope everyone is having a great long weekend and trust all are looking forward to our upcoming hockey season which is fast approaching us.  I'm looking forward to catching up with our returning families and welcoming some new families to our program.

Our season starts Saturday September 12th at 8:30am at the TriValley Ice rinks in Livermore (6611 Preston Avenue D, Livermore, CA 94551).  The schedule will be very similar to last year:
  • Saturday:  8:30am - 10:15am
  • Sunday: 8:30am - 10:15am
  • Wednesday: 5:30pm - 6:15pm

As soon as I get confirmation on blackout dates I'll update the calendar on the website team page.

A couple of things to be aware of:
  • Opening day
    • We start Saturday, September 12th at 7:15am in Livermore at 6611 Preston Avenue D, Livermore, CA 94551 please arrive at least 45 minutes early to check in.
    • For those of you who are new to the program, I will have a 10 to 15 minute meeting at the first practice after the kids take the ice. For returning members, please join if you want but it is not required.
  • Paper work
    • Please bring your completed paper work on opening day.  This includes the Code of Conduct, Consent to Treat, and your USA Hockey Confirmation number, and a Birth Certificate if you are new to Tri-Valley.  If you cannot make it Saturday, please bring these the first time you come to the rink.
  • Uniforms
    • A Reversible Jersey will cost $70 dollars, and 2 pairs of hockey socks (Home and Away) will cost $23 dollars.  Our Equipment Manager Cory Linteo will be at the rink the first weekend of the season to take orders.  There will also be a fine selection of Club Merchandise as well.  For returning players that fit into their jersey from last year there is no need to order another unless you want to.
  • Equipment
    • The equipment requirements are listed on our website select the House tab and scroll down to the bottom of the In-House Overview.  Helmets and skates are generally the most problematic, so please try these on before the first practice.
  • Website
  • Helpers
    • It takes a village and we need some help.  I'll discuss this in the opening day parent meeting but I could use some help from some of our parents to make this the best possible experience for our kids.
    • Team Manager
      • Someone to help organize any team parties, tournaments, and assist with communicating important information to the group
    • Assistant Coaches
    • Scoreboard operators
      • It would be great to get a couple of parents that can operate the score board for games.  I know the kids would love to have game scores up on the board.
